Fun ways to build a better community
In our efforts to come together in a common cause of caring, we present a number of annual events that are open to the public. Your participation—as a participant or as a volunteer—not only supports our ongoing work throughout the region, but it’s a wonderful opportunity to get together with friends and co-workers, and connect with other residents, all in the name of building better communities for everyone.
Our signature events are as follows:
Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way
June 15, 2017
This five-kilometre run (certified by Athletics Canada and part of the Canada Running Series) is your chance to do twice the good: a little exercise for you and a lot of love for your community.
CN Tower Climb for United Way
November 4 & 5, 2017
Show some altitude—for yourself and for your community—by conquering all 1,776 steps of Toronto’s most famous landmark.
Host your own event
Dinner party? Sports tournament? Hosting your own event (and fundraising for us) is a great way to give back—on your own time and in your own unique way.
