An easy way to give back
Are you passionate about our community? Do you want to create meaningful change in the lives of individuals and families within our region? We’re an organization that tackles the complex social issues and trends that confront us all. Getting involved with us is easy—and very rewarding, knowing that you’re doing your part in building a better region for everyone. In fact, you’ll be joining 20,000 other volunteers (and even more donors) who feel the same way. So, how would you like to help?
You can support your workplace campaign (or start a campaign, if your workplace doesn’t yet have one). You could even showcase your professional skills as a Sponsored Employee.
Why not get involved in our special events? These include the Scotiabank Rat Race for United Way, the CN Tower Climb for United Way, and GenNext®’s Rouge.
Throughout the year, we have many volunteer opportunities available at our head offices in downtown Toronto. These roles support our day-to-day administration and operations.
Join Women Gaining Ground, a group of like-minded, professional women working to make a meaningful impact (through donations and volunteer efforts) in the lives of women facing poverty.
Are you a young professional looking to network, learn new skills, and make an impact in the community? GenNext offers opportunities to volunteer, join a committee or become an all-important workplace ambassador.
Host your own event
Entertain at home. Organize a sports tournament. Walk dogs for your friends and neighbours. By hosting your own event, you can volunteer on your own time and contribute in your own, unique way.
Become a member of United Way
Join people from all walks and from every corner of our region, all dedicated to building better communities. As a member, you can attend United Way Toronto & York Region’s General and Annual Meeting, elect Trustees and help to shape the organization’s future.
